Notice of Meeting of the Finance and Staffing Committee of Claxby Parish Council
You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Finance and Staffing Committee, which will be held at the village hall on THURSDAY 9th NOVEMBER 2023 at 2.00 p.m. The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda. The chairman has requested that members have copies of the Financial Regulations, Standing Orders and Good Councillors Guide to hand, and are familiar with their contents.

3. To approve the draft minutes of the meetings held on 24th and 30th August 2023.
4. Chairman’s opening remarks
5. RFO to present report
- Accounts to end of October; balance in Unity and Lloyds accounts as at half-year point.
- Projected expenditure for year 24/25 including any new projects proposed by Councillors.
6. Precept: Determine precept for 24/25
7. Quarterly internal audit/bank reconciliation for PC and Village Hall accounts.
8.Clerk’s hours and overtime claim
9. Frequency of meetings
10. Grant for playing field
11. CIL – discuss suitable use(s) for the fund
12 Policies and insurance:
a) Review of village hall accounts and spending limits.
b) Review Financial Regulations clauses 10 and 11 re obtaining quotes
c) Review Insurance – does current cover meet needs? Is PC complying with insurance requirements?
d) Update asset register and insurance schedule. (Note – all values should be replacement values for insurance purposes.)
