Tree planting group

In celebration of the Queen's Jubilee, a garden was created at Bristows Corner and an oak tree was planted in the dog walking field on Normanby Rise.

A group from the Jubilee Committee and other volunteers came to help or witness the tree planting on Saturday 26th November. The young oak tree now joins a more established one which was planted for the milennium.

Pat Spolton created the Jubilee garden as a further permanent reminder of the village celebrations for the Jubilee.

Paul Strong purchased brass plaques on behalf of the Jubilee Committee to mark both the tree and the garden.

Pat is seen here by her garden.
