November 2022

Prepared by Cllr Stephen Bunney LCC & WLDC Member for Market Rasen Area

Police

Inspector Mike Head has taken over from Insp Gary Brockie as the West Lindsey Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Mike has provided the following biography.

I joined Lincolnshire Police in 2010 and was based at Boston for 2 years, working on response and patrol.  I relocated to Lincoln police station in 2012, on response and patrol for 2 years before joining CID.

I worked as a Detective for around 18 months before gaining promotion as a Detective Sergeant.

The majority of my time spent as a Detective Sergeant was based at Gainsborough however there have been a few short abstractions from this post, such as temporary promotion or an operational need to work on specific incidents.

I place a big empathises on my team been victim focused and doing the best for the community as a whole.”

Mike only started in the job last week – once he has got himself installed, he will be arranging to tour the area and visit councils and their communities.

Mike is based at Gainsborough Police Station and can be contacted via 01427 816300, 101 or Michael.Head@lincs.pnn.police.uk

Blue Light Priorities and Budget Surveys

By separate emails I have distributed parish council and resident fact finding surveys on behalf of the Police and Fire & Rescue.

I appreciate that these surveys can be annoying to complete but the information received is of use to the organisations as they plan their activities and budget requests for ongoing years.

I do whenever I can try and reflect the views of the various councils in the area at every opportunity that I can.

Highways

Along with you all I am frustrated by the slow progress of Lincolnshire Highways to improve our roads.  I have arranged a meeting with the local highways officers to discuss the situation.  It is my intention to present them with a list of priorities for the district.  I would be grateful if you could identify your parishes two top priorities that I can highlight at this meeting.  Thank you for this.

Be prepared for winter:
